About Little's Meadowlawn

The name for the range was taken from the farm. The farm has a history dating back 140 years when the land was claimed & settled by our ancestors.

Originally Steeles Avenue ran through the center of the property just south of the location of the range. It crossed the Rouge River on the East west line over a dam-bridge structure in place at that time on that same line.

The land that the range is built on was the last land to be cleared on the farm, that was as recent ago as 1958. The trees in the middle of the range are all that remains of the bush.

The land has been farmed by one of the family members since it was settled and has the oldest registered heard of Jersey dairy cattle in Canada on it still.

Due to the aging of the family and the urban build up in the area the farming on the property is coming to an end with this generation.

We decided to start a golf driving range on the West end of the property to provide a place for people to come and enjoy the sport in a location that would remind them of being on a golf course.
